mammas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys

Hello Parents,

Over the last couple of weeks the students have been exploring science through a variety of experiments.  We have been doing these projects to prepare for the Science Fair that will take place in early March.   We have worked with Insta-Snow, learning how hot air and water rise, density, geodes/thunder eggs, and many others.  Ask your student about these.

In the next couple of weeks you will receive a packet explaining the Fair and what you will need to do at home.

At the start of this year we switched the reading classes up.  Mr. Merriam is now teaching the reading and Mr. Lucas is now teaching phonics and grammar.  We did this for the simple reason of change.

Here are some pictures from our geodes experiment.

Welcome Back...Hopefully

We are keeping our fingers crossed that school will begin tomorrow without any snow delays or closures! If Portland Public Schools (PPS) are delayed tomorrow we will open at 10am, but will remain open regardless whether or not PPS closes on short notice.  If PPS is closed tomorrow, we too will be closed.  You can check www.flashalert.net under "Private & Charter Schools - Portland Are" for updates on CLASS Academy delays or closures.
